The maximum quantities of Ammonium Nitrate (Class 5.1) Dangerous Goods which may at any time be berthed at or transit a particular wharf are subject to an agreement between the Port of Tauranga and the Chief Inspector of Explosives dated 13 June 1996.
Note that all Ammonium Nitrate handling for discharge at wharves should be treated as Direct to Motor Vehicle (DMV).
